Layout example

This is a layout example made to a friend, the design is optimized to use as few images as possible, and instead use CSS3 properties to get the desired layout.

When it comes to the compatibility issues with CSS3, I only have one thing to say, update you'r browser, we simply cant keep designing for IE6.
